In poker a ‘tell’ is any form of intentional or unintentional hint, or clue; this includes a habit, pattern, behavior or physical reflex or reaction, that sells you, or your hand to your opponents. To avoiding making this mistake of telling others about your hand, before hand the following tips will come in handy and applies to all; the new and advanced players, but be always careful when dealing with very experienced players who can easily and intentionally give a misleading tell. Poker table behavior might differ from nationality to nationality, maybe a guy from Stockholm acts one way and a girl from Rome another. But still, there are some pointers.

The first tip is looking into the eyes of your opponents where dishonesty, anxiety and any other expression can tell you whether someone is about to fold. In most cases, the eyes will never lie hence many professional pokers players prefer wearing sunglasses, visors or caps when on the game. You can expertly get the real status of your opponents by studying the activity as dilation of the pupil. Most of the reaction that can tell you something is a big stare at the big hole card; this means that all the players may not fold soon, but if one of the players seems unmoved-then know someone will fold very soon.

The reading of other players’ facial expression can be very crucial in winning a poker game; many of the seasoned players use different guises to cover their real facial expressions as wearing caps and always looking down to avoid the normal stare down; in the midst of staring down many experienced payers will read your nervousness that tells of you weak hand, repetitive body characteristic shows repeated move and unhappy face obviously depicts a weak hand, and when you hand is strong you may illuminate a contrasting confidence.
Most poker players strive to be actors; those with weak hand will act or pretend to have strong one while those with strong act as if no interested, so in poker ; weak is strong and strong is Weak. This applies to both the seasoned and the novice players. So do not get intimidated by any form of show off in game.
In poker, and betting in general, anxiety comes due to the expectation of confrontation where one either losses or wins. In most players you can sense it through signs as uncontrolled muscle flexing, cracked voice, and dilated pupils. A player with a strong hand will not exhibit any of these signs, and if he tries to fake anxiety you will easily tell. Trembling Hands of hands due to extreme anxiety will tell you much, unfortunately this could go both ways; the player may either have weak or strong hand. A subconscious glance at the chips will tell you that the player connects with the board after a streak of flops or he is planning a major attack.

Repetitive Betting Patterns or patterns tells gives you away to the player you have played with for a long time for they understand how you player when in a certain situation. Also body posture and attitude
will tell of the strength of the players’ hand.

Finally, note how all the players stack their chips from the beginning of the game; this tells you of the player’s character and change in hand strength as you proceed.
