With many fabulous poker players in the world, one in which truly stands out is the all American poker player Hoyt Corkins.  This amazing player was born and bred in Alabama.  Through the meticulous instruction of his father, Hoyt learned the game of poker at an early age.  By the time that he had reached nineteen, he was well known in the poker circuits.

Known for being rather aggressive, but yet soft spoken, Hoyt has never allowed the banter from competitors deviate him from his goal.  This drive has pushed him to the point of winning over four million dollars, two World Series of Poker Bracelets and a World Poker Tour Title.  However, it has not all been roses for Hoyt.

He learned over time that poker was a difficult thing for some to understand.  Among these was his wife.  Hoyt took a leave of absence from the circuit to deal with a rather difficult divorce.  After a lengthy vacation from the poker tours, Hoyt returned to once again make a strong name for himself.  Among his wins, Hoyt has collected 96,000 and a World Series of Poker Bracelet for his win in the 5000 pot limit Omaha tournament in 1992. In 2005, he finished second with 325,000 in his pocket.  He has many other wins under his belt as well.

Overall, Hoyt is credited with many poker achievements.  For the World Series of Poker Tournaments, he is credited with two bracelets and nineteen money finishes.  His highest ranking achieved in the series has been thirty fifth place.  This was achieved in 1990.

In the world poker tour, Hoyt carries one title and has reached the finals tables four times.  At the final tables, Hoyt was able to win one of the four tables.  This provided for his title.  During the world poker tour, Hoyt reached ten money finishes.
