The man often called “The Iceman” was born in Perth, Australia and is currently residing in Italy and owns a residence in Santa Barbara, California. Jeff is well known in the poker industry and is known to be a cash game specialist. He received his nickname “The Iceman” because he was able to face his challengers in poker so calmly and undisturbed by their actions.
At the young age of 5, Jeff’s mother strategically taught him how to play poker.
1997 is the year that Lisandro made his first appearance at the poker table. He has made 4 appearances since then at the final tables of the World Series of Poker events. Although he has yet to make it to a final table in the World Poker Tour, he has been able to successfully finish in the money during the event.
December of 2004 is when Jeff won the $25,000 limit hold ‘em heads up tournament, which allowed his earnings in the event to total $194,000 after being able to defeat the honorable Howard Lederer. In May of 2005, in Lake Tahoe, Jeff won the $10,000 no limit hold ‘em World Series of Poker event for a final prize of $542,360 defeating Phil Ivey. Although Lisandro won a total of $659,730 in the 2006 World Series of Poker, he only finished in 17th place. During the 2007 World Series of Poker, Lisandro won his first World Series of Poker bracelet in the $2,000 Seven-Card Stud event.
Lisandro’s live tournament earnings exceed $3,100,000 as of 2008. In 2007, he was named 2nd place in the World Championship Pot Limit Hold ‘Em where he won a total of $284,620, where he was a runner-up to Allen Cunningham.
