Anette Obrestad was born on September 18th 1988. She is a professional Norwegian poker player. Her favorite game is NLH. Obrestad is the youngest person to ever have won a Work Series of Poker bracelet, and in the year 2007 she was considered to be one of the best online multi-table poker players in the world.

Anette was only fifteen years old when she started her poker career online. She played under the name of “Anette_15”, and says she has never had to deposit any money into online poker sites because she built up her payroll by winning freeroll poker tournaments. From September 2006 to February 2007 she had won over $500,000 on PokerStars, over $200,000 on UltimateBet, and $136,000 on full tilt poker. She was ranked number 51 in February 2008 on a site called Pocketfives.com. She has had great success in her online poker tournaments and finished in seventh place on PokerStars World Championship of Online Pokers $25,000 main event.  On March 2nd 2008 she came in first place and won $20,000 in the Stars Sunday Hundred Grand, a tournament with a buy in of only $11, but with a field of 20,000 different players.

On the day before her 19th birthday (September 17th 2007) Anette Obrestad won the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event, winning the $2.1 million first prize. As of right now she is not old enough to compete in the World Series of Poker Events held in the U.S, and will not be until 2010. This is because the law stats that players must be at least 21 years of age to participate.

Anette Obrestad came close to winning her second major live title in November 2007, when she finished in second place at the 2007 PokerStars.com European Poker Tour Dublin Event where she won a prize of $431,184.

Obrestad along with Sorel Mizzi, and John Tabatabai are all members of team Betfair.
As of the year 2008 her total live tournament winnings exceeds $2,500,000, and she is currently second to poker professional Thor Hansen among other Norwegian players in the All Time Money Lists in live tournaments.

Obrestad played in the EPT Grand Final in March of 2007 and came in 5th place winning
$20,747. On May 25th 2008 she came in 3rd place at the World Poker Tour Event and won a prize of $21,756.At the EPT Dublin-Season 4 in November of 2004 she finished in second place and took home a prize of  $390,303.

She has won one WSOP bracelet,  has had one first place finish, and her ProRank position is 2248.
