Nikolay Evdakov Cashes the Most Times in World Series of Poker History
Nikolay Evdakov is a new rising star in professional poker. He started out playing in 2006 in the Korona Russian Poker Championship. He won the No-Limit Hold’em event and made his first large tournament sum of $37,515 dollars. Later that year he also won the No-Limit Hold’em event of the Club an Invitational Christmas tournament. This win cashed at $19,350. Last year he finished first again and won $31,100.
Nikolay did not step up his game until 2008, when he participated in a number of other tournaments. In the Five Star World Classic Poker Classic/World Poker Tour World Championship he finished with 4th place, and 14th place in the Caesars Las Vegas Poker Tournament in Event #13 – WSOP Circuit No-Limit Hold’em Championship.
The event that really brought him into the spotlight was when he cashed in over 8 WSOP tournaments later in the 2008 year. These included the $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold’em World Championship, the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em, the $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em with Rebuys, the $10,000 Mixed World Championship, the $5,000 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball with Rebuys, the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha with Rebuys, and the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha. He also cashed on the Event #48 – WSOP No-Limit Hold’em. This broke the record of WSOP cashes in one year.
Nikolay has gathered $452,853 in total live tournament earnings in his lifetime. This places him in 9th in the all time money list for Russia. At the top of the list is Ivan Demidov, with the majority of his $6,483,671 dollars in prize money due to his recent 2nd place win at the WSOP final table. Following Behind him are Alexander Kravchenko with $2,883,108 dollars, Kirill Gerasimov with $2,099,790, Alexander Kostritsin, Stanislav Alekhin, Yevgenly Timoshenko, Vitaly Lunkin, and Vladimir Poleschuk.
