Ken Richard Douglas Lennaard was born May 29th 1971 in Stockholm, Sweden. Lennaard is a professional poker player tha is based out of Stockholm, and was also the chairman of the Swedish poker Federation until he resigned in October 2006.
Lennaard’s dreams of winning in the money were soon realized, in 1998 during the World Series of Poker (WSOP) event where he finished 6th in the $1500 Pot Limit Omaha event that was later won by Donnacha O’Dea.
His feeling of victory continued on throughout his career, he made many impressions on the table at many a tournament. The European Poker Tournament circuit led to his appearance in season five of Late night Poker. He continued to finish second to Padraig Parkinson in his opening heat that qualified him for the semi-final that was eventually won by Joe Beevers. The sixth season of Late Night Poker allowed him a win over Victori Coren in the heads up confrontation to win their heat and got him a qualification for the grand finale where he was defeated by Peter Costa.
Lennaard cashed in the $10,000 no limit hold’ em main event at the 2003 WSOP where he finished in 34th place with a prize of $35,000. In the William Hill Poker Grand Prix Lennaard defeated ben Roberts and found himself qualified for the grand finale where he ended up coming in 5th place.
Lennaard was team captain for the Sweden in the Poker nations Cup and the PartPoker.com Football & Poker legends Cup.
As of 2008, Lennaard’s live total winnings exceed $830,000.Lennaard earned him nickname “Thimble” after he finished 2nd in the Swedish Monopoly competition, this was an achievement that was described by “Barmy” Barny Boatman as being equal to being the “second best-looking bloke in ABBA”. Lennaard is a former child actor and had a role in the movie Blomstrande Tider, some may remember him. Lennaard also won the Swedish Reality Television Game Show, Riket in 2004.
